Rod Aycox Took Off

Throughout the United States it has been stated that between 355,000 and 445,000 people are homeless every day and night. Homelessness is something that affects people of all ages, races, backgrounds and religions. Homeless people face an intense struggle just to stay alive despite the fact that society turns its head from the problem. However, that was not the case for Rod Aycox.

Rod Aycox is a successful businessman, known as the pioneer to introducing “quick and easy loans” back in the 1990's. He started his first company in Jonesboro, Georgia at just 24 years old. Rods business quickly took off, allowing him to open up company outlets and expanding his business at a very quick pace. Rod Aycox gave hard working Americans a chance to receive fast-cash without the hassle of credit checks, unlike banks or credit unions. Rod Aycox companies now operate in more than twenty states nationwide and have been an ongoing success for over 25 years.  However, Rod never let his success interfere with his compassion to want to help others.

In 2006, Rod Aycox donated a large sum of money to the Lutheran Community Food Ministry. The Lutheran Community Food Ministry helps the less fortunate in their time of need, giving them food and shelter. The Lutheran Community Food Ministry serves approximately 200 people per day. Allowing the homeless a place to come and be greeted with a warm smile, hot meal to eat and a place to rest.

The Lutheran Community over all, has helped serve over 1,000,000 meals to the homeless in Atlanta. Robert F. Sims, Senior Pastor of the Lutheran Church stated, “We are thrilled to have help from Rod Aycox companies to help feed the homeless.” Rod Aycox hopes his donation will encourage other members of the Atlanta community to get involved. This project would be impossible without the help from people like Rod Aycox , who has continued to show his innate kindness by the many donations he makes throughout the community!
