Over the past 147
years there is no other race that has had to endure as much mental, physical
and emotional suffrage like African Americans. On can understand the
frustrating struggle that African Americans had to endure during their long
journey to end segregation, discrimination, and isolation to achieve equality
and Civil Rights. That is why Rod Aycox and his affiliated companies have done
so much to help the NAACP Image Awards.
Rod
Aycox is currently one of America’s most successful businessman, with several
financial services companies under his name. He started his own company at the
young age of 24 and the company has since grown and now operates in more than
20 states nationwide. Rod gives cash-strapped customers a place to go to
receive fast cash without the hassle of credit checks. All he ask for is a copy
of your ID and the title to your vehicle. This allows the borrower to continue
to possess their vehicles even when the loan is in motion, given people an
outlet that banks and credit unions do not. However, his kindness extends
beyond the world of just business.
On
March 18, 2011 Rod and his affiliated companies donated a large sum of money to
support the 42nd NAACP Image Awards annual event. The NAACP
Image Awards broadcast serves as the nation’s premier event celebrating the
outstanding achievements and performances of people of color in the arts as
well as those who promote social justice. The NAACP is similar to other awards
like the Oscars and the Grammy, there are 53 competitive categories in the
fields of motion picture, television, music and literature.
The
42nd NAACP Image Awards star-studded host for the evening was
Holly Robinson Peete and Wayne Brady. Receiving honorary awards was Surgeon General
Regina M. Benjamin, M.D., M.B.A. and General Colin Powell. LL Cool J, Vanessa
Williams, Halle Berry, Denzel Washington and The Black Eyed Peas were among the nominees.
The
National Association for the Advancement of Color People (NAACP) is the oldest,
largest and strongest national civil rights organization in the United States.
Its principal objective is to ensure the political, educational, social, and
economic equality of all citizens in this country. Rod Aycox and his affiliated
companies comment the NAACP and its commitment to the equality of rights for
all citizens of the United States for over 100 years.
