Rod Aycox Drained

My name is Carol. I was raised in a foster home up until I was about 15 years old. My parents put me up for adoption at the age of 4 because they were strapped for cash and didn’t feel like they could afford me anymore. My dad was a used car salesman and my mom worked in insurance. They claimed that they had already gone bankrupt and had debt from several different loans they took out when I was born.  However, I believe it was because of their drug fueled problem which eventually drained their bank accounts and left them dead 5 years later. I lived on the streets for about 8 years and if it weren’t for organizations like The Lutheran Community Food Service and people like Rod Aycox that donate, I would not be where I am today.

Rod Aycox is currently one of America’s most successful businessmen, with several financial service companies under his name. Rod started his own company in the money lending industry and grew to now operate over 1,000 stores in more than twenty states nationwide. For over 25 years Rod Aycox has offered cash strapped customers the option to get a short-term loan by giving up their title to their vehicle as a collateral, along with a state issued ID. This has helped Americans tremendously, giving individuals an outlet that banks and credit unions do not. However, Rods innate kindness doesn’t stop there, he has continued to open doors for people in each community that he serves.

In 2006, Rod Aycox donated a large sum of money to the Lutheran Community Food Ministry. The Lutheran Community Food Ministry helps the less fortunate in their time of need, giving them food and shelter. The Lutheran Community Food Ministry serves approximately 200 people per day. Allowing the homeless a place to come and be greeted with a warm smile, hot meal to eat and a place to rest. The Lutheran Community over all, has helped serve over 1,000,000 meals to the homeless in Atlanta. Robert F. Sims, Senior Pastor of the Lutheran Church stated, “We are thrilled to have help from Rod Aycox companies to help feed the homeless.” Rod Aycox hopes his donation will encourage other members of the Atlanta community to get involved.

The Lutheran Community Food Ministry ultimately saved my life. There were nights where I was freezing and hadn’t ate in over 2 days. The Lutheran Community Food Ministry took me in with open arms and smiles to be sure my needs were met. By doing this, The Lutheran Community Food Ministry and Rod gave me hope in society and humanity. It eventually led me to finding my passion to want to help people who can’t do it on their own. I now work as a counselor at the local AAA office, counseling people through their addictions who are much like my parents. I am truly thankful for the innate kindness that the Lutheran Community Food Ministry have shown throughout the years and I will forever stand behind such an outstanding organization and thoughtful human being such as Rod Aycox, himself!

Since then, LoanMax and his affiliated companies have grown to operate in more than twenty states nationwide. Rod started his business in order to help those in need retrieve fast cash with no hassle by using their cars as a collateral. This allows the borrower to continue to possess their vehicle even when the loan is in motion. Rod Aycox's LoanMax Impoverished

Rod Aycox became a visionary in the money lending industry when he thought of a quick and easy way to receive loans. He founded his fist company in 1990 at just 24 years old. He started small and created an extremely smart business plan for growth. Soon, Rod opened company outlets and expanded his business at a very quick pace. He now owns Select Management Resources which controls LoanMax, North American Title Loans, Midwest Title Loans and many other title loan stores across the country. Rod continued to display the outstanding man he is throughout his 25 years of success by donating to communities and charities near and far. Rod Aycox has always been a firm believer of helping others, especially the youth.

On July 18 Rod Aycox companies announced its pledge to donate a very large sum of money to the Blood of Lamb Church. The Blood of Lamb Church is based in Norfolk, Virginia and provides support for the inner city youth through grass-roots efforts led by Reverend Elder M.L. Brooks. Rod Aycox said “As a corporate citizen of Norfolk community, I am proud to give back to this community. Being a father myself, I take great pleasure in providing assistance to organizations whose focus is to help children.”

It is no secret that inner city impoverished neighborhoods is characterized by minimal education opportunities, high unemployment and crime rates, broken families, and inadequate housing. It is sad because the youth are simply victims of their own environment, one of apathy, greed, and lack of academic importance in life. Often, inner city youths are good children to begin with, but become influenced by the negative influences constantly tempting them, such as drugs, violence and crime.

Thankfully for the Blood of Lamb Church, Reverend Elder M.L. Brooks and people who help donate like Rod Aycox are slowly improving the inner-city youth. They have given children a second chance at living a positive life-style by helping them through their education and everyday struggles. Rod Aycox is the type of person whose kindness shows naturally through his countless contributions to society and in result brought forth immense positive change in the inner-youth.

The goal for Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate children that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.

The Toys for Tots is a program ran by the United States Marine Corps Reserve set up to collect new, unwrapped toys during months of October, November and December each year and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. Toys for Tots was founded in 1947 in Los Angeles, California. Major Bill Hendricks was inspired by his wife, Diane when she tried to donate a homemade Raggedy Ann doll to a needy child but could not find an organization to do so. A group of local marine’s reservist, including Lieutenant Colonel John Hampton, who coordinated and collected some of 5,000 toys for local children that year from collecting bins placed outside of the Warner Bros movie theater. There efforts were so successful, in 1948 Toys for tots was launched as a national campaign.

Rod Aycox explained “In this season of giving, I can’t think of a better way to give back than the Toys for Tots program. It is a joy to be a part of such a great cause.”  If it wasn’t for the help of people like Rod Aycox this non-profit organization would not be where it’s at today.

Every child deserves to have that same tingly feeling of joy and excitement. However, unfortunately not every child gets the opportunity to experience that. The Toys for Tots foundation aims to help fix that, but they are not able to do it alone. LoanMax and its affiliated companies have more than 1,000 stores that operate in over 20 states nationwide. Rod Aycox not only helps people through his business but those throughout each community he is apart of. Every year Rod makes a donation to Toys for Tots and places bins outside his many stores throughout the country to try and encourage others to donate to such a wonderful cause.

The Toys for Tots began in Los Angeles, California in 1947 and founded by Major Bill Hendricks. He was inspired by his wife, Diane who tried to donate a homemade Raggedy Ann Doll to a needy child but could not find an organization to do so. Major Bill Hendricks gathered a group of local Marine reservists including Lieutenant Colonel John Hampton who coordinated and collected bins placed outside Warner Bros Movie Theater. That year they gathered over 5,000 toys for Toys for Tots. It was such a success that in 1948 they lunched as a national campaign. Finally, in 1995, the Secretary of Defense approved Toys for tots as an official mission of the Marine Corps Reserve.

The organization since 2011 have collected more than 16.7 million toys to help distribute to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas. Rod Aycox focus has always been on education and the welfare of the youth especially throughout the holidays. Just last year, Rod donated to the Big Brothers and Big Sister for their annual Mahoning Valley Christmas Party. More than 150 local children were provided with winter coats and hats. They were also treated with Christmas gifts, dinner and a visit from Santa! Rods innate kindness shows through every generous donation he makes throughout the communities. The infectious smile on each child’s face will warm your heart as they receive a new Christmas toy this year!

Rod Aycox and the Brigeport Police Department

Bridgeport Police Department is the primary law enforcement agency in Bridgeport, Fairfield County, Connecticut. Since, 1903 Bridgeport Police Department has dedicated themselves to serving the community through protection of life, property and prevention of crime. However, in the recent years they have quickly noticed a need for more K-9s not only to help with narcotic detections but help the diffusion of potential threats and improve public relations. This was able to happen through the support of the council, police funds and donations!

On February, 10, 2015 LoanMax made a generous contribution to support the Bridgeport Police Departments K-9 unit. Rod Aycox is the CEO of Select Management Resources which is the parent company for LoanMax, North American Title Loans and Midwest Title Loans. LoanMax and its affiliated companies operate in more than twenty states nationwide and has been a success for over 25 years in the Title Loan Industry. While Rod Ayox reach is nationwide, he believes in operating as a trusted member of each community that he serves, one being Fairfield County, Connecticut.

By giving back to the Bridgeport Police Department K-9 unit, Rod Aycox has helped provide equipment and training for the K-9s. The training usually includes a fifteen week course in handler protection, evidence recovery, building searches, obedience and classroom education. K-9 training is considered one of the most rigorous and intense training an officer can take. However, Chief Klotz and the rest of Bridgeport police Department has been said to be very grateful to have an asset like LoanMax, a business in town that really understands how to be a part of the community!

All in all, Rod Aycox helped Bridgeport Police Department in such a tremendous way. He not only provided the funds to help their K-9 unit and training but he gave each officer the peace of mind knowing they can confidently place his/her trust in the partnership they share with their K-9 every day they go out to serve in the line of duty. Ultimately, keeping the community of Bridgeport safe!

Rod Aycox's Contributions

Rod Aycox is currently one of America’s most successful business man, with several financial service companies under his name such as Select Management Resources which is the operator to LoanMax, North American Title Loans and Midwestern Title Loans. Rod was just 24 years old when he started his first business in 1990 in the title loan industry. Now, LoanMax and its affiliated companies operate in more than twenty states nationwide and have been an ongoing success for over two decades. However, Rod Aycox stands out from the rest of his fellow businessman. He is a remarkable philanthropist, Rod contributions focus on how to help those within and outside of his community.

On December 22, 2010 Rod Aycox donated through LoanMax and its affiliated companies a considerable amount to support the building of a memorial to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Junior. Dr. Martin Luther King Junior was an American Baptist minister, activist, humanitarian and leader in the African- American Civil Rights Movement. He led the 1955 Montgomery Bus Boycott and helped found the Southern Christian Leadership Conference in 1957 serving as its first president. King also helped organize the 1963 March on Washington, where he delivered his famous “I Have a Dream” speech. There, he established his reputation as one of the greatest orators in American History. Rods hefty donation will go toward helping with the Memorial Foundation “build the dream” of establishing a memorial commemorating the life work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

On October 16, 2011 they opened the famous monument of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr in a nation park located in Washington, DC. The monument is along the west bank of the Tidal Basin, near the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial and not far from the Lincoln Memorial, from which King delivered his famous “I Have a Dream” speech. The centerpiece of the memorial is a 30-foot statue of Dr. King and is made of pink granite. The total cost of building the memorial was close to $120 million. It was the first monument on the Mall or in its associated memorial parks to be dedicated to an African American.

Rod Aycox’s generous donation made this beautiful Memorial of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. achievable. It was Rods mission to be a part of a project that is designed to commemorate the life and work of Dr. King by leading a collaborative funding, design, and construction process in the creation of a memorial to honor his national and international contributions to world peace through non-violent social change and in 2011 that was made possible. Rod Aycox hopes that the memorial will memorialize the great Dr. King and share his message of Democracy, Justice, Love and Hope for the future generations.

Rod Aycox and LoanMax give money away

Rod Aycox owns the large company of Select Management Resources that is the father company to over 200 stores in over 15 states across the country, operating under the names of LoanMax, LoanStar, and other title loan companies. He started his company is a small store in Jonesboro, Georgia. He went from insurance salesman to used car salesman, then he got a flier advertising a software to manage a new business called title pawn. He didn’t buy the software, but it did give him the idea to start his own company, so he put up a banner and waited for the customers to come to him. He made four loans on his first day open. His loan companies are different from the payday loans that are available and the traditional loan options at a bank. His loan option is a little less invasive than other lending options, there is no credit check and all you provide is a copy of your ID, the title to your car, as collateral, and show your ability to pay back the loan.

Aycox knows what it’s like to start from nothing and he looks for ways to give back to the community in any way that he can. Over the years he has donated and sponsored countless charities and foundations.

In 2006, Rod Aycox announced at the National Action Network’s Social Justice Revival held in Augusta, Georgia that his company would sponsor a $10,000 scholarship fund for students that were dedicated to the study of Social Justice. Then, in 2008, he announced the company’s sponsorship of the Fourth Ward Health and Educational Center for Youth, Inc., an organization that organizes transportation to the nearest Boys and Girls Club, hosts youth sporting events, and provides a library and computer labs for the youth in the area.

Rod Aycox also supports the Martin Luther King Jr National Memorial Project, he donated $100,000, in December of 2010, to help establish a memorial commemorating the life and work of Martin Luther King Jr. He also announced his continued sponsorship to the Fourth Ward Health and Educational Center for Youth, Inc. in Houston, Texas.

In 2011 Rod Aycox donated $25,000 to help the relief effort in Joplin, Missouri and Southeast Kansas after the tornado that occurred in May of 2011. Rod Aycox was also the primary sponsor for the 42nd NAACP Image Awards in 2011. The NAACP Image Awards is the nation’s pre-eminent multi-cultural awards show the celebrates the achievements of people from different cultures in the arts, such as, television, literature, movies, and writing and directing, as well as groups who promote social justice.

Then, in 2014, Rod Aycox’s LoanMax contributed $5,000 to Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Mahoning Valley when they hosted their annual Christmas Party. Every child that attends the annual Christmas party were treated to Christmas gifts, a catered meal, and a visit from Santa. They also helped provide winter coats and hats to the children. The Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization gives back to the community especially around Christmas for the families whose parents can’t afford winter jackets or Christmas presents. In 2014, they helped more than 150 children.

Rod Aycox has also donated to organizations that promote tolerance and fight discrimination. In June of this year, there was a terrible tragedy in Charleston, South Carolina at the Episcopal Church that resulted in the shooting and deaths of nine people. Rod Aycox partnered with Lamell McMorris to provide $1 million in gifts to support a number of local and national groups, including Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, the Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel at Morehouse College, the NAACP, the National Action Network, and the Rainbow PUSH Coalition. These organizations support programs that help improve the underlying conditions that lead to violence, they foster empowerment, literacy, communication, and equal opportunities for all.

Rod Aycox has given back to so many communities across the country. If he sees something he is passionate about and sees a way that he can help, he does. It is that simple for him. He is determined to make the country a better place and to help as many people as he can. I know that a lot of people appreciate him and his efforts. We all can look up to a man like that.
